Job Description

Overall administrative responsibility for the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) operations for HSAG’s satellite office located in Glendale, California. This position takes direction from the Executive Vice President (EVP) and the Vice President of Medicare Operations (VPMO), located in the corporate office in Arizona.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Hire, mentor, direct and provide day-to-day supervision for key staff tasked with developing, implementing and operationalizing the California QIO and other Federal programs.
  • Conduct daily and weekly meetings with each QIO Task team to discuss contract goals, strategies, barriers, resourcesoverall team needs and report back regularly to supervisor.
  • Monitor staff completion of QIO deliverables.
  • Have regularly scheduled meetings with EVP and VPMO to keep them informed of office operations.
  • Hold office staff accountable for meeting contract goals, adhering to HSAG’s remote working and telecommuting policies and being present for necessary meetings.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts/timesheets with all QIO federal staff.
  • Develop budgets and manage individual federal tasks within the overall budget; re-appropriate staff to assist with budget and task changes.
  • Coordinate and direct bid proposal activities.
  • Serve as primary California interface with Federal, State and Local agencies, key stakeholders, providers and private sector groups.
  • Conduct and facilitate meetings, seminars and workshops; draft and give presentations to large audiences.
  • Work daily during normal business hours in the Glendale, CA office location; occasionally travel to corporate office and other HSAG satellite offices to participate in strategy meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree required; healthcare related field preferred.
  • At least five (5) years experience in a similar level position.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years management experience in a healthcare related field.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and government healthcare programs preferred.
  • Working familiarity with provider organizations such as hospitals, nursing facilities, home health entities and providers preferred. 

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must have professional administrative and fiscal management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State and private health related activities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct presentations.
  • Ability to travel.
