Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) produces analytic reports on behalf of its state Medicaid and federal clients.  The Quality Control Coordinator will focus on the detailed validation of analytic reports on a wide array of projects.  The Quality Control Coordinator will ensure that the presentation of data and analytic results are accurate by performing comprehensive data integrity checks on HSAG’s reporting products.  Beyond validation activities, the Quality Control Coordinator will assist with day-to-day project coordination activities within HSAG’s Analytics & Informatics Team.

Essential Competencies, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day validation and quality assurance support.
  • Have experience validating numbers in reports.
  • Be proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to write complex formulas required to validate analytic findings presented in reports.
  • Have a strong understanding of basic statistics to validate descriptive statistics using source data in Excel.
  • Be responsible for validating reports supported by tables, charts, and variable text.
  • Attend and participate in team, staff, and project meetings, give presentations and communicate project results to staff. Represent HSAG in a professional manner always.
  • Coordinate project management tasks, including communication (written, phone, fax), coaching, and training.
  • Draft response documents summarizing validation findings.
  • Communicate with project partners on analytic-related projects.
  • Project deadlines may necessitate occasional extended work hours.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or healthcare-related field.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in a business or healthcare setting.

Other Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and work with multiple teams.
  • Ability to type at least 50 words per minute with minimal errors.
