Job Description

This position manages various tasks related to the Audits Team including Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) audits, performance measure validation audits, and other external quality review (EQR) deliverables. Primary responsibilities include audit-related activities such as document review, project management, analysis and tracking, and report writing. Additional responsibilities include assisting lead auditors with pre-onsite, onsite, and post-onsite audit activities as directed. Assigned tasks require efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility, tact, integrity, independent judgment, initiative, and organization. 

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and adhere to project timelines, staff assignments, and task schedules in a fast-paced environment, identify opportunities to improve the project processes, and develop quality improvement activities accordingly.
  • Manage team-oriented projects, think critically, and work independently as needed in the administration, tracking, and documentation of audit activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with changing requirements and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Monitor completion and submission of all project activities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Review and track progress of budgets.
  • Participate in writing request for proposals (RFPs) responses.
  • Responsible for generating reports supported by tables, charts, graphs, and text as applicable.
  • Conduct desk review of documents received from health plans or similar organizations to prepare for audits.
  • Able to travel and participate in a variety of onsite audit tasks.
  • Provide excellent client service with timely, accurate, and courteous responses to all internal and external clients including strong communication skills (written and verbal) with both internal team members and external collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in team meetings, client contract calls, and other meetings by preparing meeting materials and recording meeting minutes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process redesign initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of work products and processes.
  • Represent HSAG in a professional manner at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in a healthcare-related field such as public health or business.
  • Minimum three years of recent experience performing project management or coordination activities in a healthcare environment.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced English/communication skill (i.e., spelling, grammar, composition, proofreading, and editing).
  • Experience in managing operations of quality management activities.
  • Solid organizational and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience in report writing, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint and production required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management including development and tracking of budget and timelines, and experience in completing a project on time and within budget.
  • Highly professional demeanor and excellent judgment, initiative, and organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
