Job Description

The CROWNWeb Communications Manager is a communications expert, with significant experience working in the dialysis and/or kidney transplant industry.  He or she must work with a variety of customers, including the federal government, large dialysis organizations, dialysis and transplant centers, and ESRD Networks in order to successfully complete all tasks.  This person should have recent experience with the national CROWNWeb system, ESRD communications, and content writing / publishing.



These include the following and all other duties as assigned.  The responsibilities listed below constitute an initial list of tasks that may be modified or expanded as necessary by the organization to maintain negotiated contractual obligations. 


  • Provide CROWNWeb subject matter expertise
  • Increases awareness of CROWNWeb requirements by communicating latest news and system details
  • Develop content for and conduct communication and training events with CROWNWeb users, ESRD Network representatives, CMS, and other key stakeholders
  • Create, manage, and distribute two monthly publications aimed at the ESRD community
  • Produce other articles and publications for trade journals and magazines
  • Develop content for and lead two national CROWNWeb Town Hall events
  • Support CROWNWeb system via technical assistance to users
  • Work with CMS to maintain and revise, as needed, CROWNWeb Data Management Guidelines
  • Conduct CROWNWeb testing to identify system errors and defects

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care-related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Technical writing background and a CTT+ certification.
  • 5-7 years of ESRD Network and communications experience required with CROWNWeb experience.
