The position is located in our Tampa, FL office—no remote potential available.


The Copy Editor/Editor will support proposal development in response to federal/state Request for Proposals (RFPs).  They will also work closely with the project teams to produce clear, thoughtful, coherent, and accurate healthcare-related documents. 

Essential Competencies, Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Review and edit content to meet proposal requirements.
  • Copy edit for grammar, style, clarity, format, etc.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop relevant content.
  • With direction, the Copy Editor/Editor applies skills to resolve problems not covered by existing procedures or practices.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or related field.
  • Superior skills in copy editing.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in copy editing or editing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in Word a requirement. 

Other Qualifications 

  • Ability to synthesize information to produce clear and accurate narratives. 
  • Expertise in English grammar and syntax. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and track key deliverable dates. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
