Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available now for those interested in the quality of healthcare for patients. Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) supports the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on various healthcare quality initiatives throughout the country. 

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for assisting with the design, production, and implementation of a variety of communications and project-related activities requiring thorough knowledge and understanding of HSAG and CMS policies and procedures. This is a support position for project management functions related to material and strategy development, event management, corporate compliance, web solutions, and graphic and video projects related to HSAG’s various initiatives.



  • Supports project teams and works independently to assist staff members in development of virtual and in-person project activities, interventions, and events.
  • Assists project managers to design and produce events and presentations using various technologies for online registrations, email marketing promotion, and evaluations in support of project requirements.
  • Facilitates and moderates interactive webinars and online workshops incorporating a variety of techniques, such as structured discussions, audience polling, live text chat, live or streaming video, and whiteboard annotation.
  • Tracks the production, mailing, and distribution of materials including an inventory of products and materials produced and maintains reference copies in job folders.
  • Participates in internal quality control data collection and monitoring to evaluate effectiveness of materials produced and distribution channels used. Recommends solutions and takes corrective actions as indicated.
  • Assist teams with editing for grammar and punctuation.
  • Strong editing skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, with an emphasis in journalism, communications, or health education.


  • Knowledge of graphics programs, desktop publishing, virtual meeting software, website software, and software applications is required.
  • Microsoft Office software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, or Visio).
  • One to three years of experience with communications, editing, or publishing.
  • Excellent writing skills including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading.
