The Analytic/Project Coordinator is a key contributor to analytic and project work that spans the broad spectrum of healthcare data projects in HSAG’s Pharmacy and Quality Measurement (PQM) division.  This position coordinates different aspects of healthcare projects through various stages including implementation, day-to-day management, analysis, and reporting.  Activities include assisting with the development of work plans and timelines, documenting and overseeing project tasks, organizing and maintaining project files, supporting and attending meetings, and providing regular progress reports to management staff.

To perform the duties of this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and independently. Essential Competencies, Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and support project management tasks, including timeline monitoring and maintenance, budget review, resource monitoring, and team communications.
  • Assist with meeting coordination activities including managing calendars, writing agendas, taking minutes, noting and monitoring key decisions and action items, and hosting WebEx sessions.
  • Develop and adhere to project time and task schedules, identify opportunities to improve the project process, and develop quality improvement activities accordingly.
  • Prepare support documents needed for project deliverables and assist with documentation and submission of high-quality deliverables using the appropriate mechanism (i.e., electronic, hard copy, direct data entry etc.).
  • Meet agreed upon deadlines in a timely fashion and accurately prepare project deliverables, reports, documents, letters, and other materials.
  • Act in a liaison capacity between appropriate management, project, and analytic staff, transmitting decisions and information to organizational units as appropriate, as well as outside agencies and organizations.
  • Communicate with project partners, subcontractors, data stewards, and other entities on analytic and research-related projects
  • Participate in pertinent healthcare educational and training presentations as required.
  • Incorporate a continuous quality improvement philosophy into day-to-day assignments and present issues and recommended solutions and take corrective actions as indicated.
  • Assist with the orientation and mentoring of new staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health, business, or science related field.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in a health care setting.

Other Qualifications 

  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and work with multiple teams in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent English/communication skills (i.e., spelling, composition, grammar, proofreading and editing).
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent action- and detail-oriented mindset and organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills in project management-associated principles and tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio, Project, and SharePoint) computer skills
  • Working knowledge of quality improvement, data management, analysis, research, and technical writing fundamentals.
