Job Description

SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for assisting the supervisor in performing a variety of complex secretarial and administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge and understanding of company policies, procedures and precedents. Assigned tasks require tact, independent judgment, initiative and organization in solving a variety of problems. This position also covers the receptionist desk.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all front desk duties including logging of packages, signing in visitors, screening and directing calls, as well as assisting office manager with any other duties.
  • Revise and edit written material as needed.
  • Make travel arrangements by preparing and processing travel requests and expense reports.
  • Update Calendars.
  • Update and maintain department logs, reports and/or data entry for functional databases.
  • Scan, log, and file all pertinent materials from outside partners.
  • Create invoices.
  • Act as a model for professionalism, integrity, and values.
  • Build professional relationships with customers and other teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Equivalent to one-year trade school, technical school or junior college, (equivalency is two years of experience to one year of school).

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent spelling, grammar, composition, proofreading, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
